Mr Premdath Rughoobur

Group Executive Chairman

Mr Premdath Rughoobur is the Group Executive Chairman of Kalis Investment. He has been the inspiration behind the creation of a small cleaning company employing 15 workers in early 1996 to a well-structured and vibrant group employing more than 1200 people today. Extremely assertive and very bold in approach and character, he has found the right blend of resources, strategic orientation, and vision to transform Kalis Investment into a major player in the different fields of activities it is currently specialized.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of construction after resigning as the finance head of an important private firm in the EPZ sector. He is a team player and believes in the need to outperform in the promotion of stakeholders as opposed to shareholder value. His advice and resolve in areas related to ESG have contributed significantly to consolidating the mission to endlessly operate as an organisation with purpose.

Mr Sudesh Rughoobur

Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Mr Rughoobur believes that promoting ESG at all levels of the group is the only way to ensure sustainability of Kalis Investment.

In this context, he has created an ESG department couple of years ago and continues to personally drive a series of initiatives aimed at promoting the environment, engaging in various social initiatives and ushering a culture of governance at all levels of the organisation.

Mr Rughoobur holds an MBA from the prestigious Birmingham University, UK. He is also a resource person at the Premium Business School on Leadership and Entrepreneurial Drive.

Mr Dayen Appasamy

Group Chief Operating officer

Dayen Appasamy is the Group Chief Operating Officer of Kalis Investment.  While he is a graduate in Economics and holder of an MBA, he also is an experienced professional in management and cumulates more than 17 years of service with the Group. 

Dayen has been privileged to witness the transformation of the organisation, over the years, while he served as the Head of the Facilities Division of Kalis Investment, which he currently continues to oversee.  Under his charge, the different companies within the Facilities Division have seen an expansion of their activities, growing in reputation, and developing into trustworthy partners in the marketplace.

Mrs Salimah Mauderbacus

Group Deputy Chief Operating Officer

Mrs. Salimah Mauderbacus is the Group Deputy Chief Operating Officer, who has accumulated wide experience in the field of organisation culture and value promotion. She has contributed enormously as an unmatched support to the executive team in ensuring that the priorities defined, and the operation model devised complies strictly with the vision of the company in the first instance and eventually of the group.

Salimah is well respected for her dedication and commitment to the cause of the company as its first employee. Her integrity has been a reference to the culture that symbolizes the very essence of the deliverables of the Group.

Mr Rajiv Beeharry

Group Business Development Director

Mr Rajiv Beeharry is the Group Business Development Director of Kalis Investment. He has more than 25 years of experience in Banking, Corporate Management, and Business Advisory. 

He has previously been the CEO of the Mauritius Post and Cooperative Bank Ltd, the Managing Director of the State Investment Corporation Ltd and an Investment Banker for Gruntal & Co investment bank in New York, while also been on the Board of Directors of several important public and private sector companies.

Rajiv holds a BSC (Honours) in Management Information Systems and an MBA from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, United States
